On September 22-23, Crimean Tatars celebrate Derviza — the festival marking the end of field work. During this time, they assessed the harvest and summed up the results of their agricultural labor. The holiday was celebrated with public festivities and feasts, which always included a meat pie — kobete. The symbol of Derviza is the sieve «elek». It was rolled down a slope to predict whether the year would be fruitful.
