Crimean Tatar Cinema Celebrates Its 100th Anniversary

Crimean Tatar cinematography is celebrating its 100th anniversary. In September 1926, the film Alim was shown in Crimea for the first time — a gripping silent film about a noble Crimean Tatar robber. Alim became the only film in the USSR about Crimean Tatars with Crimean Tatars in the leading roles and in the film crew. But Crimean Tatar cinema continues to develop.
