An old Krymchak synagogue discovered in Karasubazar

In Karasubazar (Belogorsk), during the reconstruction of the central hospital, fragments of the Krymchak synagogue were found — 2 stars of David, elements of wall and facade decor. Historians knew that the hospital was located in a synagogue building, but did not assume that the temple was so well preserved under Soviet plaster. The synagogue was once the largest and most beautiful in the whole Crimea. The hospital administration and builders intend to preserve the appearance of the unique building as much as possible.
