The outstanding Soviet and Ukrainian scientist-encyclopedist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Dmitry Pavlovich Ursu, who made a huge contribution to the study of the history of Crimean Tatar culture. He wrote books about the figures of the Crimean Tatar culture and intellectuals, as well as a bibliography of the great Crimean Tatar poet and scientist Bekir Choban-zade. Dmitry Ursu passed away in 2017.
