The Disappeared Village Of Uzunlar Lives In The Memories Of Its Children

The village of Uzunlar (Prostornoye) near Kerch is not on the map now. But it exists in the memories of its natives, who remember how a mosque and a five-year school worked in Uzunlar, how rich the local collective farm was, how many wells and auts there were in the village. The village prospered thanks to its cheerful and hardworking residents. Therefore, after the exile of the Crimean Tatars in 1944, Uzunlar, first renamed Prostornoye, eventually became empty, and then completely disappeared.
