Bathhouse and laundry complex number 1 in the heart of Aqmescit (Simferopol) was built from gravestones. In the 30s of the last century, when the bathhouse was being built, this was quite a common practice. From under the collapsed plaster you can see inscriptions in Armenian, Greek, Old Slavonic, and Karaim — the bathhouse seems to have «reconciled» different communities, linking them into a common string of forgotten human memory.
