Crimean Tatar-Danish Diplomacy

In the 17th century, one of the most important allies for the Crimean Khanate became… Denmark. As one of the first states to embark on the path of the industrial revolution, Denmark strengthened its influence in Europe and was a perpetual rival of the Crimean Khanate’s adversaries on the world stage. This situation made the friendship between Crimea and Denmark mutually beneficial, as evidenced by dozens of letters and labels from the Crimean elite, now preserved in the Imperial Archives of Denmark.
