Mnime Ablyazova left her family home as a 4-year-old girl. She was the youngest child in her family when they were deported from Crimea to Uzbekistan. During the long journey to the foreign land and the first weeks of exile, they were saved from starvation by a sack of flour that her father managed to take with him.
