Shevket Yunusov “We went to school for some brown bread”

Shevket Yunusov is 89 years old, he lives in the village of Seyitler. Today he is surrounded by his family and loving children, and for him his grandchildren and great-grandchildren are a great wealth. But he still remembers bitter events of his childhood: life in the trenches during the war, difficult years without his father in the foreign land. Shevket Yunusov’s dream came true — he returned to his homeland. He managed to retain through the years of exile his family relics: his grandfather’s kuman and family saan.
