Remzi Medzhitov was 10 years old when he and his family were forced to leave their Tav-Bodrak (Rocky) near Bakhchisaray. As a child, he experienced hard physical labor, inhumane conditions, and hunger. Early in life, Remzi worked as an adult to save his family from starvation. For half a century he lived with the dream of returning to his native Crimea.
