Osman Kadyraliev was 16 years old when soldiers knocked on the door of his home in the village of Tuvaq (Rybache). That morning of May 18, 1944, forever divided his life into «before» and «after.» In the first days of exile, he lost what was most precious – his mother and father. A teenager who himself dug graves for his parents in a foreign land became an adult too soon. But even in the hardest years, he kept the image of his native Tuvaq in his heart.
