A native of the village of Vorun near Sudak, 93-year-old Gulizar Khalilova was 13 years old when her mother and 6 children were exiled to the Urals. At that time, her father was in the labor army in Tula. In her life, like many Crimean Tatars who survived the war and exile, there was a lot of pain and loss, long and difficult roads. The path to returning to her homeland was also not easy. Having started a family in a foreign land, she returned to Crimea herself with three children.
