Deportation separated Ayshe Mamutova from her sisters

Ayshe Mamutova’s childhood in her native Uskut was interrupted by the war. During this difficult time, her father died of illness. The family with six children had to survive without him. But the family’s trials did not end there. On May 18, 1944, a new misfortune occurred – the deportation, which separated the mother from her two children. Two sisters of Ayshe-khanym ended up in the Urals, where they lived for many years far from their relatives, who had been exiled to Central Asia. But, despite all the difficulties, the family was able to reunite in a foreign land and return to their homeland.
