In the deportation, 90-year-old Reshat Cherkez lost his mother and was forced to grow up in an orphanage. Even then, he decided to keep the names of his ancestors on the family tree, and has collected materials for many years. After leaving the orphanage, he entered the Irrigation Institute and became the author of over 30 inventions for water and agriculture.
