34 years ago the Supreme Soviet of the USSR adopted the Declaration on the recognition of illegal and criminal acts of repression against the peoples subjected to forced resettlement. The practice of deportations on ethnic grounds, including those of Crimean Tatars, was recognized as a grave crime.
