Pen, ink, church children in crimean schools are taught in an old fashioned way

During the recent years, in Crimea the number of experimental classes that use innovative methods has increased. In 2014, the system of education, namely «Russian Classical School» (RCS), developed on the basis of the pre-revolutionary and Soviet traditions, was introduced in Simferopol school № 7, gymnasium № 10, and also in some schools of the Bakhchisaray and Dzhankoy districts. Konstantin Ushinskiy’s pedagogical approach served as the basis of this system. RCS has many supporters, however there are many concerns. Is this methodology appropriate in multinational Crimea, as the books in primary school children, who in turn, belong to different religions, contain Orthodox pictures, texts and prayers.
