Well-known Russian composers have repeatedly turned to the rich musical folklore of the Crimean Tatars. Among them are Mikhail Glinka, Alexander Borodin, Alexander Glazunov, and many others.
One of the first to use Crimean Tatar melodies in his work was Glinka.
