Everytime he takes drumsticks in his hands he performs ethnic rhythms. It is a rhythm of Crimean Tatar heart, a clatter of a horse running down Crimean steppe, a rhythm of Crimean Tatar girl dancing Tym-tym. Marlen Khalilov is one of Crimea’s best percussionists.
