132 years ago, one of the most prominent representatives of the Crimean Tatar diaspora, poet, writer and teacher Shevki Bectore, was born in Romania. His work, along with the heritage of Bekir Choban-zade and Amdi Giraibay, anticipated the growth of the national literature of Crimean Tatars in the 1920s.
