How did Turkic peoples transition to the Latin alphabet? This is vividly described in Khalid Said Khodzhaev’s book «Old Memories on the Path to a New Alphabet», which has been translated into Crimean Tatar by journalist Zera Bekirova and published in Crimea. This is the first book written in Latin script following the 1926 Turkological Congress. Notably, the book was printed in Aqmescit (Simferopol).
