Dzhafer Bekirov is a Crimean Tatar scientist, folklorist, teacher who devoted his life to enlightenment. In exile, he initiated the opening of a department of the Crimean Tatar language and literature, and then continued to work on the preservation and development of his native language in his homeland. Jafer-oja is the author of many textbooks and anthologies on the history of Crimean Tatar literature and folklore.
