Rustem Vaapov is a Crimean Tatar artist, painter, book illustrator. He is a representative of a famous dynasty — a descendant of a famous gunsmith and ornamentalist Amet Kalafatov. Rustem Vaapov has dozens of illustrated books. He has created his own unique author’s style, characterized by an abundance of ornaments and patterns. His magical childhood impressions came to life on the pages of children’s books, and became an amazing and fabulous country. The artist comes up with not only picturesque images, but also his own stories.
