A rare antique chest ornament – qaside – has been preserved in one Crimean Tatar family. After studying the piece, cultural scholar and jeweler Evelina Asanova concluded that it is the work of Zekerya Ibrahim – one of the most famous filigree masters of Bakhchysarai, who held the status of usta-bashi (master craftsman). He participated in creating the museum collection at the Hansaray with Usein Bodaninsky and also prepared pieces for the 1925 Paris Exhibition. The antique qaside of his authorship can be seen at an exhibition at the Crimean Tatar Museum of Cultural and Historical Heritage.
