Artist and art school teacher from Karasubazar Lenia Smailova often experiments with materials. Not long ago, she began painting on old Crimean Tatar roof tiles, which give her works a special meaning. According to the artist, the roof tiles themselves give her ideas. So one of the main themes in her work was the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people. Each work is like a fragment of history. Her brush brings the clay to life, depicting sad scenes of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars.
