Crimea In The Paintings Of Alexander Kuprin

From a railway office clerk to being recognized as one of the most celebrated artists in the history of Russian and Soviet painting. Alexander Kuprin was a bright and versatile artist. He began as a modernist, painted landscapes in a cubist style for over a decade, before arriving at realistic painting, where he achieved great success. Starting from the mid-1920s, Kuprin returned to Crimea year after year, especially to his beloved Bakhchisaray, leaving behind dozens of unforgettable paintings of the ancient city.
