The Southernmost Sarmatian Burial in the World Discovered in Crimea

Crimean archaeologists have discovered a unique Sarmatian burial. During excavations near the village of Nikolayevka in the Simferopol district, scientists found 16 burials, 15 of which belong to the Bronze Age, and one to a later era. Presumably, the buried person belongs to the Sarmatians, which means that this find can be considered the southernmost Sarmatian grave in the world.
The find was reported by Anastasia Stoyanova, senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
